Tristan Lauzon is a Montreal based colorist. Tristan’s interest in the image started early-on as an interest in photography. Notably, Tristan has experimented with a variety of media ranging from modern digital photography to working with medium format film cameras, to scanning and printing his own work.

Tristan’s curiosity for the image did not limit him to still work. Over time Tristan developped an interest in the moving images. This lead him to study a BFA in Film Production at Concordia’s Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. Hyper-focused on image-based work, Tristan began collaborating with his classmates as a Colourist, photographer, and cinematographer.

Today, Tristan’s clients and collaborators mainly consist of filmmakers & production houses in Quebec film and television. Additionally, having worked under the astute eye of Marc Boucrot, Tristan focuses on a intuitive approach which emphasizes creativity whilst still maintaining technical rigueur.

Through the use of a home-studio, Tristan offers state of the art digital mastering of 4K & HD timelines in Broadcast standard REC 709 and Cinema DCP P3.
